Mayumi Okuyama は、サンパウロを拠点に活動するジュエリーアーティスト／グラフィックデザイナーです。
建築とジュエリーの背景を持ち、アート・デザイン・文学の交差点を探りながら、繊細で内省的なジュエリー作品を生み出しています。
ミニマリズムを軸に、素材の軽やかさと本質を尊重する彼女の作品は、鑑賞者に静かな余白と気づきをもたらします。
これまで世界各地で発表し、2024年にはニューヨークの Museum of Arts and Design に作品が収蔵されました。

Mayumi Okuyama is a jewelry artist and graphic designer based in São Paulo.
With a background in architecture and jewelry, she explores the intersection of art, design, and literature, creating delicate and introspective pieces.
Guided by minimalism, her work highlights lightness and material essence, offering moments of quiet reflection.
Her work has been shown internationally, and in 2024 was acquired by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.

11日間に渡るMayumi Okuyamaの展覧会、winds and Tiesが昨日で終了しました。
おいでいただいた皆様、気にかけてくださった皆様、ありがとうございました。

ちょうど季節の変わり目で、雨に降られたり、真夏日がぶり返したりと落ち着かない日もありましたが、無事に展示を終えることができました。

Mayumiとはアムステルダムのフェアで知り合い、作品に一目惚れしてから数年が経ちます。エレガントで優しい彼女とは最初から気が合い、作品作りや自然への向き合い方などいろいろな話をする中で刺激を受けてきました。今回、作品と接する時間が長かったことで、改めて、ジュエリーという一つの枠組みを包括する彼女のクリエーションに触れることができ、幸せな時間となりました。

次は年末に .be のアーカイブ販売会をしたいと思います。
日程などはまた追ってこちらでお知らせします。

The eleven-day exhibition Winds and Ties by Mayumi Okuyama came to a close yesterday.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited, and to all who kept us in their thoughts.

At this turning of the seasons—days of sudden rain and the return of midsummer heat—we were able to see the show through to its end without incident.

I first met Mayumi at a fair in Amsterdam, and it has been several years since I was instantly captivated by her work. From the beginning, we connected easily; her elegance and warmth made every conversation—whether about her creative process or her way of relating to nature—deeply inspiring. This time, having the chance to live with her works over the course of the exhibition reminded me anew of how her creations embrace and transcend the very framework of jewellery. It was a truly fortunate and meaningful experience.

Looking ahead, at the end of the year we are planning an archive sale of works by .be.
Details will be shared here in due course—please stay tuned.

様々な素材を使い、そこに無かった空間の層を出現させ、「間」を意識させる独特の作品は自由で奔放ながら、はっとするほどに繊細でもあり、観る者の心を掴んで離しません。
ジュエリーとして着用するのはもちろん、オブジェとして展示することもできる彼女の作品は今回が日本では初めてのお目見えとなります。
