From April 12–17, 11 members from Les Clefs d’Or Japan had the privilege of attending the Les Clefs d’Or International Congress in Sydney, Australia.
It was an inspiring five days filled with reconnecting with long-time friends, making new ones, learning from one another, and strengthening our global concierge network.

A special highlight for us was the participation of Mr. Shuta Takeuchi, who represented the Japan Section as a Young Concierge Award candidate for the very first time.
In the absence of any prior precedent within our section, Shuta approached every challenge with confidence and professionalism, proudly representing Japan on the international stage. We are extremely proud of his achievement and grateful for the new chapter he has opened for our section.
Our sincere thanks also go to Aman Tokyo for their outstanding support throughout his journey.

This remarkable congress would not have been possible without the exceptional leadership, preparation, and hospitality of Mr. Dean McWhinney, President of the Australian Section, together with his dedicated team and sponsors. From the moment of arrival to the very last farewell, everything was flawlessly organized.

After five unforgettable days, more than 500 members returned to their home countries inspired and motivated, ready to welcome guests from around the world at their concierge desks.

From April 12–17, 11 members from Les Clefs d’Or Japan had the privilege of attending the Les Clefs d’Or International Congress in Sydney, Australia.
It was an inspiring five days filled with reconnecting with long-time friends, making new ones, learning from one another, and strengthening our global concierge network.

The February regular meeting of Les Clefs d’Or Japan was held in Hiroshima Prefecture.⁡

With the kind cooperation of Setouchi Joycruise, we had the opportunity to experience a cruise from Mihara City to Onomichi.
While enjoying a meal prepared with an abundance of locally sourced ingredients in the luxurious onboard setting, we spent a truly special time admiring the stunning beauty of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea under a perfectly clear sky.

On January 14, a joint seminar was held at Grand Hyatt Tokyo under the theme
“The Concierge Network – Our Roles and Responsibilities” co-hosted by Les Clefs d'Or Japan and Japan Concierge Association.
We were honored to welcome Mr. Dean McWhinney, President of Les Clefs d'Or Australia and Zone Director for Southeast Asia & Oceania, as our guest speaker.
In the first session, he shared his valuable insights and experience on the roles and responsibilities we must uphold within our professional network.
The second session consisted of group discussions based on the lecture, where participants actively exchanged views on the significance in our daily work as concierges and how our network should be.

It was a truly meaningful opportunity to reflect on the connections we value so deeply and to reaffirm the importance and responsibility of being part of a concierge network.⁡

講師には、レ・クレドール オーストラリアのプレジデントであり、Southeast Asia & OceaniaのZone DirectorのMr. Dean McWhinneyをお迎えし、第一部では私たちがネットワークの中で果たすべき役割や責任について、豊富なご経験をもとにお話いただきました。
第二部では、その講演内容をもとにグループディスカッションを実施し、参加者それぞれが日々の業務におけるネットワークの在り方について活発に意見を交わしました。
コンシェルジュが日々大切にしている“つながり”を改めて見つめ直し、その価値と意義を再認識する、非常に有意義な時間となりました。⁡

We were honored to celebrate the 28th anniversary of Les Clefs d'Or Japan on November 18th at Modern French Collage, Conrad Tokyo.
A total of 28 members, including affiliate and social members, gathered for this special occasion.
We were also delighted to welcome Mr. Steve Watson and Mr. Adam von Mentzer from Sweden, who joined us to commemorate this memorable evening.

The Asian Congress was held on Boracay Island in the Philippines, with five members of Les Clefs d’Or Japan and five members of the Japan Concierge Association participating from Japan.

Throughout the five days, we exchanged ideas and shared information with fellow concierges from across Asia, while experiencing the warm hospitality of the Philippines. This truly reaffirmed the motto of “Service through Friendship” and made for an enriching and memorable event. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine members for successfully hosting such a wonderful event.

フィリピン・ボラカイ島で開催されたアジアンコングレスには、日本からレ・クレドールメンバー5名と日本コンシェルジュ協会会員5名が参加しました。

同じアジアでコンシェルジュをしている仲間同士、意見交換や情報共有を行いながら、温かいフィリピンのおもてなしに触れ、改めて「Service through Friendship」のモットーを実感する、非常に充実した5日間となりました。

Our regular meeting in September was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka.
After presenting our monthly activity report, we moved to Hakata Station to visit “Lounge Kinsei,” designed by Mr. Eiji Mitooka, which serves as the departure point for the “Cruise Train Seven Stars in Kyushu.”
It was a valuable opportunity to learn about the concept and the passion behind its creation, as well as to hear about the train’s philosophy — “A journey to encounter a new life.”
We felt that its strong connection with the local community, and the warmth and affection it receives from the people of Kyushu, are what make this train truly special.⁡

9月の定例会はリッツカールトン福岡で行いました。
1か月の活動報告の後、博多駅に移動し、「クルーズトレイン ななつ星 in 九州」の旅の起点となる、水戸岡鋭治氏デザインの「ラウンジ金星」を見学させていただきました。
コンセプトや込められた想いを伺う貴重な機会となり、ななつ星 in 九州の理念である「新たな人生にめぐり逢う、旅」についてもお話しいただきました。
地域とのつながりを大切にし、九州の人々に親しまれ、愛されていることこそが、この列車の大きな魅力だと感じました。

Our annual summer party at the Andaz Tokyo rooftop was a truly meaningful event. We loved seeing everyone and had a great time sharing updates and deepening our connections with both our business affiliates and our social affiliates. Having our social affiliates join us for the first time made the day even more special, as it brought a wonderful mix of new conversations and nostalgic memories.

アンダーズ東京のルーフトップで開催した恒例の納涼会は、今年もとても有意義なひとときとなりました。皆さまにお会いできたことを大変嬉しく思い、ビジネスアフィリエイトやソーシャルアフィリエイトの皆さまと近況を共有し、絆を深める素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。

We were privileged to welcome Mr. Mark Patterson, Chairman of 360 A/S, as a special lecturer for members of Les Clefs d'Or and the Japan Concierge Association.

Mr. Patterson was the main facilitator of our Education Day at the UICH International Congress in Istanbul in 2023. His lecture provided us with a deeper understanding and a clearer vision of the importance of relationship building for the concierge profession.

The seminar took place at the Palace Hotel Tokyo, followed by a dinner at a local restaurant.
Thank you, Mr. Patterson, for providing us with such an inspiring seminar.
