Its surface is created through a meticulous process of repeatedly applying layers, allowing them to dry, and then carefully sanding them back. This accumulation of processes creates remarkable depth and complexity, revealing delicate expressions each time the surface catches the light. Rather than simply layering paint, Kuwai Hana carefully observes the condition of each layer and the degree of sanding, shaping the surface through an exacting process refined over years of practice.
