What if the thing we overlook most is ourselves?

That question was at the heart of Simona Ray’s 24-hour performance, SEE YOU II, presented during Women Beyond Borders III in Times Square.

For 24 hours, Simona returned to her artwork, holding a different word each hour: a quality she had once overlooked in herself.

And then something unexpected happened.

People passing through Times Square stopped to choose a word representing something they overlook in themselves and stand beside her holding it.

A private reflection became a public conversation.

ArtRabbit has now featured SEE YOU II, exploring how a deeply personal question became a shared experience in one of the world’s most visible public spaces.

Times Square is a place designed to make people look.

Simona used it to ask them to look inward.

We’re proud to see this meaningful work and its message reach even further. 🤍

What if the artwork you share with the world carries someone you love with it?

For Gloria, her work in Women Beyond Borders III carries the memory of her mother, a strong woman who shaped her life.

Her series, Iconic 1.3, transforms a personal photograph into something she can share far beyond her own world — from her life as a Canadian-Italian artist living in China to a global exhibition in Times Square.

And that is what Gloria hopes people find in her work: memory, connection, a relationship, a cherished moment that means something to them too.

Her message to other artists is just as important: support one another, share opportunities, stay connected to your artistic community, and keep creating work that has something to say.

Because sometimes the most personal stories are the ones that allow others to feel something of their own.

Thank you, Gloria, for sharing your story with us. 🤍

From a little town in Lillehammer, Norway, to New York. ✨

For Ingrid, being part of Women Beyond Borders III was more than seeing her artwork on a billboard. It was seeing just how far her art had travelled.

25 women artists. Different countries, backgrounds, and experiences. Connected through art.

For Ingrid, painting is also about something much simpler: slowing down, switching off, and being present.

She hopes her work can give the person looking at it a moment to pause. Maybe it brings calm. Maybe it sparks a feeling. Maybe it simply makes you stop for a moment.

And her message to other artists is just as simple:

Keep creating. Keep going. Keep being curious about where the process takes you. 🤍

Thank you, Ingrid, for sharing your experience with us.

Times Square became an open-air gallery for women artists.

But this was never just about putting art on a screen.

Sometimes, art shouldn’t wait behind gallery walls.
It should meet people where they are.

No walls. No barriers. No borders.
Art beyond borders.

WHEN ART BECOMES PART OF THE CITY. ✨

Women Beyond Borders III has been featured by ArtWeek, highlighting how the work of 25 women artists moved beyond traditional gallery walls and into the heart of New York City.

More than 25 million recorded views carried the exhibition far beyond Times Square.

But for us, the real power of the moment was not only in the numbers.

It was in seeing women’s art become part of the city — encountered by people who may never have walked into a gallery, and experienced in a space where art is not usually the focus.

The article also captures the artists’ perspectives: dreams fulfilled, family milestones, new possibilities, connection, and the shared feeling of seeing their work take its place in one of the world’s most recognizable public spaces.

This is the power of creating opportunities for artists to be seen in places, contexts, and ways they may never have imagined.

Thank you to ArtWeek for documenting Women Beyond Borders III and the stories behind the exhibition. 🤍
