Orto Botanico Corsini Sculpture is pleased to announce their upcoming exhibition 𝒮𝓅𝒾𝓇𝒾𝓉𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐿𝒶𝓃𝒹𝓈𝒸𝒶𝓅𝑒 by Mexican artist Marco kalach. Set across the historical botanical gardens the exhibition opens this summer on Friday July 17, 2026.

Through an intuitive approach to scale and materiality, Marco Kalach transforms Orto Botanico Corsini Gardens in Porto Ercole, Monte Argentario, into a contemplative environment where sculpture and landscape become inseparable, and where the boundary between the natural and the constructed begins to dissolve.

For Kalach, sculpture often begins as an image that remains dormant for years before unexpectedly resurfacing through material and process. Memories, fragments of landscapes, archaeological remains, volcanic formations, bones, roots, and abandoned structures slowly accumulate in the background of his practice until they reappear transformed into objects and environments that feel both ancient and strangely alive.

Conceived specifically for the Tuscan landscape, this series of sculptural interventions will engage with the botanical garden’s exotic flora and the geological presence of the surrounding coastline. Steel, organic textures and weathered surfaces will emerge throughout the site as if uncovered rather than constructed, occupying the space with a quiet sense of permanence and erosion. Rather than imposing itself onto the landscape, the exhibition moves through the gardens as a subtle activation of what already exists there: humidity, wind, mineral density, vegetation, and time. The works appear suspended between fiction and archaeology, evoking fragments from unknown civilizations or remnants shaped by natural forces over centuries.
