Finalmente ci siamo.
Dopo anni di ricerche sul territorio, sacrifici, testimonianze e studi negli archivi storici, l’Associazione Combat Road annuncia con profonda emozione l’inaugurazione del Memoriale dedicato alla 34th Divisione di Fanteria Americana, “Red Bull”, a Monte Pantano.
Per oltre ottant’anni gli eroi di quella gloriosa divisione non hanno avuto un luogo che ne rappresentasse il sacrificio e che raccontasse ciò che accadde su quella montagna.
Oggi quel luogo esiste.
La scelta non è casuale: il memoriale sorgerà proprio nell’area da cui partirono gli attacchi diretti verso la vetta di Monte Pantano, teatro di durissimi combattimenti nell’inverno del 1943. Un’area carica di storia, sacrificio e memoria.
La roccia posta alla base della collina recherà inciso:
“34th Red Bull Division – Battaglia di Monte Pantano”,
a onorare il coraggio e il sacrificio di tanti uomini che combatterono per il più alto degli ideali, affinché tutto questo non venga mai dimenticato.
“Attack, Attack, Attack!”

At long last, the moment has arrived.
After years of field research, sacrifices, testimonies, and studies in historical archives, the Combat Road Association is deeply honored to announce the inauguration of the Memorial dedicated to the 34th U.S. Infantry Division, the “Red Bull,” at Monte Pantano.
For more than eighty years, the heroes of that distinguished infantry division had no place that represented their sacrifice or told the story of what happened on that mountain.
Today, that place finally exists.
The choice of location is not accidental: the memorial will rise in the very area from which the attacks toward the summit of Monte Pantano were launched—an area that witnessed fierce fighting during the winter of 1943. A place steeped in history, sacrifice, and memory.
The stone placed at the base of the hill will bear the inscription:
“34th Red Bull Division – Battle of Monte Pantano,”
honoring the courage and sacrifice of the many men who fought for the highest of ideals, ensuring that their story is never forgotten.
“Attack, Attack, Attack!”
