Ogni artista ha visitato il bo
sco ed ha quindi fatto una proposta specifica per il luogo scelto. Il connubio fra le sculture ed il bosco, i suoni, i colori e la luce è totale. Sono stati scelti artisti provenienti da tutti e cinque i continenti e materiali diversi per dare al visitatore una panoramica sulla varietà e importanza dell’arte contemporanea nel mondo di oggi. All’interno del parco è stato creato un anfiteatro che offre ai visitatori un denso programma di concerti, in luglio e agosto. *Come raggiungerci*
Per arrivare al Parco da Siena prendete la SP 408 fino a Ponte a Bozzone. Da lì girate a sinistra dove c'è la chiesa e seguite le indicazioni per Pievasciata/Parco Sculture.

Ogni giorno, domeniche e festivi compresi, dalle 10 in poi. La chiusura varia a seconda della stagione. NON è necessaria la prenotazione.

La gestione del Parco Sculture del Chianti è affidata all’Associazione Culturale AMICI DEL PARCO, un’associazione senza scopo di lucro che ha come obiettivo oltre alla manutenzione e tutela delle opere e quindi quello di far conoscere l’arte contemporanea, la valorizzazione del bosco e del territorio in cui si trova.

The Chianti Sculpture Park, a permanent exhibition of contemporary sculptures, was inaugurated in 2004 on an initiative of Piero and Rosalba Giadrossi, both art lovers. The main characteristic of the Park is the integration of art and nature. Each artist has been invited to visit the wood in order to choose a location and subsequently submit a sitespecific proposal. This accounts for the harmony of the sculptures with the trees, the sounds, the colours, the light, and other elements of the wood. In fact, these man-made works do not extend beyond the limits of nature; rather, they integrate with it and enhance it. Artists from all five continents using many materials have been consciously chosen to give the visitor a quick overview of the variety and importance of contemporary art in today’s world. Inside the Park an Amphitheatre has been created to offer visitors a rich programme of events, especially concerts in July and August. By reaching the Park you can find other curious artworks, which are part of the project Pievasciata B.A.C. Hamlet for Contemporary Art. All entrance fees go to the association for maintenance of the Park itself and for promotional work. So far the Chianti Sculpture Park is the only example of site-specific contemporary art in the province of Siena. USEFUL VISIT INFO
