This peice began as a thought about softness living inside strength. The piece mimics draped fabric, yet it’s held in a solid form, capturing the quiet tension between movement and stillness. Each fold feels like a memory frozen in time, flowing gently across the surface while carrying depth, weight, and emotion.

A commissioned piece inspired by the fluid silhouettes, delicate folds, and natural curls found in ocean corals, beautifully carved into a form that feels both sculptural and alive.

This artwork portrays two worlds that live within one form. From one side, it breathes in greens and blues of nature-quiet, fluid, alive. From other, it hardens into reds and rusts of an urban setting- structured, restless, built. I wanted to hold both truths together, where contrast doesn’t divide, but completes a shared, shifting reality.

Fashioned by Paranshi and Umang Gandhi, Founders of DesignUP, the architecture balances clean volumes with curved forms, drawing inspiration from the stillness of a desert oasis to create spaces that feel calm and restorative within a dense urban setting.
