The Egyptian government, together with the US embassy in Egypt, launched a project to renovate and preserve the Jewish endowments in Egypt. Among them, the Karaite cemetery in Bastin, which is considered the second oldest in the world. An article on the matter is attached. On that visit, the chairman of the community, Eli Altahan, and David Ovadia from USA, visited the Moshe Deri Synagogue in Cairo, this synagogue was used by the extensive Karaite community that was in Egypt, and since the last of the Karaite Jews left Egypt, there was no prayer until the exciting visit.
