SURVIVE TO FIGHT

During the 1980s the threat of a Soviet attack was still high, with that came the possible use of Nuclear weapons.

British forces were issued with a manual titled “Survive to Fight”, which detailed the use of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) protective equipment and procedures that were to be carried out in the event of a Soviet nuclear attack on the West.

Notably, during Exercise Lionheart (1984), British forces are seen wearing their NBC equipment as they manoeuvre through the West German Countryside.

A reminder we're now under a month away from the Soviet Threat show for this year - Easter weekend, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April 2025.

As usual this will be a full weekend takeover of the bunker, inside and out to show life on both sides of the Iron Curtain. We've got re-enactors, vehicles, traders and more - this year is the biggest show we've ever put on!

Event passes are available through the website and as well as getting you into the show all weekend, they are valid for one year of entry into the bunker!
