A few words from Vivienne Byrne, curator of the 'Negotiations' exhibition, about Drogheda 600, wrapping up what has been another highly successful festival for the town:
To celebrate the new shoots of Spring, I would like to thank you all for your tremendous contribution towards making the Drogheda 600 Arts Collective a huge success on many levels.
The Great Drogheda Poetry Show, The Ecumenical Service of Remembrance and Reconciliation, Negotiations, CLAMP, the Far Side, Unified have all added huge weight to the artistic and cultural community of town, not to mention the wider Drogheda public and this couldn't have happened without the significant volunteerism from our artists, writers, composers, musicians and the support of the Droichead Arts Centre.
As it is St. Brigid's Day or Imbolg, I have attached a few snaps of the Negotiations Show to remind us of the seeds of camaraderie that were sown and the generous ground upon which they fell.
I hope that this new year will allow us to generate more exciting opportunities to explore and with such a strong core of artists of all disciplines together, it would be great to build on this sense of community.
With that in mind, I wish you a happy Spring time with a word of congratulations to Nexus Arts in securing funding for the coming year. Well done folks.
With many thanks,
Vivienne
