Rosslare Harbour RNLI launched on Saturday afternoon after a lone sailor reported his 8-metre yacht was taking on water off Raven Point, Curracloe.

The volunteer crew quickly assessed the situation before establishing a tow and bringing the casualty vessel safely back to Rosslare Harbour. The sailor was brought ashore safe and uninjured thanks to the coordinated response of the RNLI and Irish Coast Guard.

Brendan O'Gorman's grandfather Frank O'Neill taken in the mid 1940's, together with a nice painting of the St.Andrew as a hospital ship. Frank was aboard the St. Andrew during the war and later in his career went deep sea.

⚓ Every great voyage has one thing in common… great people.

For 120 years, the Rosslare–Fishguard ferry service has been kept alive by the dedication of thousands of captains, engineers, deck crew, catering staff, shore staff, railway workers and dockers. This exhibition is a chance to celebrate the men and women whose hard work connected Ireland and Wales for generations.
