‘Riding the Wind and Waves’ and ‘Where Sky Meets Sea’ are part of a series in which Chen Jinqing explores the relationship between marine life and terrestrial nature, crafted using a blend of stainless steel and 24-carat gold.

Both pieces examine the coexistence of diverse realms of water, land, reality and illusion by merging marine creatures with terrestrial flora. This theme recurs throughout Chen Jinqing’s postmodern interpretation of traditional concepts.
