Wild and Free Gallery Artist owned contemporary art gallery in Whitley Bay, with regular exhibitions.

We are currently refubishing and will re-open as a contemporary art gallery on completion in Feb 2023.

A rather wet and windy day outside today in Whitley Bay but dry and warm inside the gallery today sorting out new ceramics and keeping the tiny witchy folk out of mischief. If you venture out we are open 9.30 to 5pm Thursday to Saturday currently.

The final workshop took place last Sunday, with a flurry of silk scarves being dyed in the style using natural blue indigo.
Rubber bands, bulldog clips, wooden shapes and domestic waste pipe were all utilised by a group of very enthusiastic students. The tutors scarf will be added to our annual Christmas hamper raffle in aid of the Bay Food bank. Tickets will be available from November 4th in the gallery.
