Wow - what a night! had a great turn out for the mini print exhibition and the opening of Always Coming Home

We’ve had a really enjoyable day hanging all the mini prints. Here is a sneak peek of a few more! We will post another few videos later for those of you who can’t make it to the exhibition tomorrow evening for the PV! MINI PRINT EXHIBITION

Mini Prints are pretty much all in, after lots more post and personal deliveries this weekend. Thanks everyone! It’s a busy week ahead, preparing the studio, mounting all the prints and hanging them in a grid stretching around the studio walls. We’re starting to unwrap the packages. Meanwhile to whet your appetites here are a few images of mini prints by and regular studio users. Watch out here for more tasters this week and please come to visit the exhibition if you can. Don’t forget it’s the opening party next Saturday, 23rd May, from 6pm at East Quay, Watchet.

Last day today of Lisa’s turn to be our featured artist. The studio is open, with a chance to gain some deeper insights into Lisa’s linocutting practice. Next week Lisa’s work gives way to our Mini Print exhibition. X

The linocut print I wasn’t happy with? I’ve spent the whole week fiddling with it in between necessary life stuff. Sometimes my head just won’t let go of something and this is one of those times. I know I’m not alone in this but sometimes I wish there was an off switch!

Here’s where I am at now. The main plate has been worked into and I’m going to re carve the two background plates today (hopefully). Printing happens this weekend while I am in the studio opening it to the public, come and say hi if you find yourself in Watchet.

For the observant, yes I started carving one of the additional plates and yes, I carved out the wrong bit. I think I realised in time and can save it. This print has become my own personal nemesis 😂🙈
