sed at Court Robert Arts near Raglan in South Wales. Christine has, over the last couple of years been producing original and unique new garden sculptures her interests include the classical, the human form, and objects in nature. - The sculptures are also available in a dark faux-bronze finish examples of which can be seen on this site. Christine has plans to produce a number of new designs for 2012. The focus will be on expanding her Contemporary Fine Artwork. Customer feedback and sales have shown that this is an underrepresented market and so over the Winter months, her aim is to create new pieces to complement her existing contemporary work. Christine aims to produce garden sculpture that is of an exceptionally high standard of sculpting, all of the unique and individual designs, each sculpture produced by hand from start to finish, with attention to detail and quality finish a priority.

Here's the little story behind one of my most popular garden sculptures:

"The model for this portrait head was a personal friend who was visiting us for a few weeks. She was a student at LSE and a model for a portrait class.

When her portrait was finished, I changed the angle of her head and added the windswept design to her hair to create the impression that the wind was blowing through it. This design was heavily inspired by a famous scene from the film 'Titanic'."

I've loved being a part of this year's Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, Tintern and have really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful images shared by Gemma Kate Wood of the eclectic range of sculptures on show there. Here's a lovely picture of one of mine from one of Gemma's recent posts - "Woodnymph".

Very happy to be currently exhibiting at the Albany Gallery alongside artists Alex Brown Painter and Colin Carruthers until 20th July, and to be featured in this article by View Mags about upcoming art shows in Cardiff.

"An institution of the arts, Albany Gallery has played an important role in Roath’s history since the 1960s. To soak up some of that authentic Roath flavour, you can catch Alex Brown Painter and Colin Carruthers, with sculpture by Christine Baxter, until the 20 July 2024.

The summer schedule at the Albany Gallery Gallery runs from 26 July to 7 September, as a changing exhibition of over 30 popular artists in a variety of styles and mediums. Almost a third of those taking part are new to the gallery, including Lucy Corbett and Tracy Patterson. 13 September to 5 October sees Tim Fudge and Carolyn Genders, and Mary Jolley and Claire Lovell exhibiting from 11 October to 2 November."
