We were delighted to play a leading role in making this idea a reality! And look forward to sharing the results on our Museum of the Highlands digital learning hub in the near future.
Exciting news! A cutting-edge 3D scanning project has just been completed, digitally capturing historical objects from museums across the Highlands. From a Mesolithic harpoon to the Ballachulish Goddess, these artefacts will be transformed into detailed digital models.
These 3D scans will be featured in the People Room, within Inverness Castle’s South Tower Experience, allowing visitors to explore Highland history in a whole new way—digitally!
It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with the past and inspire visits to the museums where these treasures are housed.
