So many little faces looking at me right now! 👀✨🐶

As some of you may remember I used to paint personalised pet portraits from photographs that you would send to me, and they really were so popular. I don’t think they will be making a comeback anytime soon but I do have x6 framed hand painted dog breeds ready to be personalised! I can either hand write your dogs name with a lovely font or I can use my typewriter and add it to the painting just like I used to. And of course I will stitch the little button next to the name…(swipe to the end to see an example photo of Dottie).

I’ve got the following dog breeds:

• x1 cocker spaniel
• x1 jack russel
• x1 bedlington terrier
• x1 schnauzer
• x2 border terriers

I will be uploading these onto Etsy but if you have your eye on one, either for yourself or as a gift, then please do get in touch and claim your pet portrait because these really are the last ones 🙏🏻

They all have so much character, so many tiny little hairs and a little twinkle in their eye ✨ perfect for Christmas!

♑︎ All about you ♑︎

I’m Alice, the watercolour illustrator behind The Lady Sea Goat. Thought I would share 3 current facts about me.

♑︎ I live in Cornwall and love the wide open stretched beaches, sand dunes and rugged coastline. But also daydream about misty forests and the mountains. The photo is of me in in front of The Three Sisters in Glencoe on my solo road trip around Scotland.
♑︎ The reason I’ve not been taking on commissions lately is because I am studying reflexology and aromatherapy which I absolutely love. I have always had an interest in movement, health, feeling good, natural food and products so it feels very fitting for me. I used to work for in Oxford and I loved learning all about the benefits of essential oils and helping people feel good. So to get a lot of in depth knowledge about plants and herbs will be great skills for life. I wish a LUSH spa opened up in Cornwall! I’ve got some nice little paintings that I’ve done for my course which I can share soon 🦶🏻🌲
♑︎ My fun fact - I have been learning to skate dance for a year now and I am cracking a few moves so will join them all together soon to create a flow sequence. Bring on breezy summer skates by the sea.

Hello 🫶🏻

I’ve taken part in this a couple of times before and I always find that it’s a great motivator so I shall post when I can. I developed my watercolour painting skills years ago during my Fashion/Textiles degree and after that I have always enjoyed painting the 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝒹 𝓁𝒾𝒻ℯ 🪶 I changed my brand name in the summer of 2021 to ‘The Lady Sea Goat’, which is my star sign, a Capricorn woman. I am a bit of a dreamer and a gentle person, which reflects through my paintings, and will be why I am drawn to watercolour paints, a soft colour palette and the desire to paint magical scenes with shimmering moons and twinkles ✨ Really looking forward to reading about other creatives and what inspires them 🌞

My logo is taken from a tiny area of this painting 👐🏻

Our Story

Hello, My name is Alice and I am an illustrator living in Cornwall specialising in Miniature Watercolour Personalised Poochie Portraits. I paint and create things that I love and that inspire me in my surroundings ranging from creatures of the sea, birds, world maps and my dogs. My watercolour personalised Poochie Portraits are my best sellers and I type their name using my vintage typewriter and stitch a mini button on each one for the final touch. They are £60 per face, unframed at the moment. If you are interested in getting your very own pooch painted by me then all you will need to do is send me approximately 5 photographs of your dog showing face shape, colour, any specific markings that you would like me to capture, the breed and their name (please check spelling and watch out with predictive text!). Please remember that my portraits are not photographs and that they are my interpretation of your dog using my artistic style so I will capture them the best I can using all the photographs you send to me. Payment :- I use internet banking to sort the payment which will be discussed when orders are placed. Postage and Packaging :- I use Recorded Second Class (tracked) postage service - approx 3 days to arrive after postage (quote coming soon). If you would prefer to use a faster service e.g Recorded 1st Class or Special Delivery (tracked and signed) then that can be arranged and it will be an extra cost. Orders :- For all orders I need atleast 8 weeks notice to ensure I have enough time to prep, paint and post your commission. If you have a certain date in mind then please feel free to ask as I always like to help out the best I can. Have a little look through my photos and I hope you enjoy what you see.
