Two Tales has made the shortlist for Durham Tourism Superstar 2026, and we need your vote!

Tucked into Prince Bishops Place, Two Tales brings storytelling straight onto the Durham high street, with workshops, events, and a space where every age is welcome to get lost in a book. If you've popped in for a browse, a craft session, or just to say hello, you'll know exactly why this team deserves the title.

Voting takes two minutes and closes Friday 26 June at 11.59pm. https://www.thisisdurham.com/durham-tourism-superstar

Meet Woody! One of our many Story Catchers here at Seven Stories 📖

Wandering bard in spirit and someone who has never once remembered the animal noises in 'Monkey and Me' without a little help from the audience. This Independent Bookshop Week (13–20 June), we want to celebrate the folks behind the scenes who make stories come alive - and Woody is very much one of them. Head to our blog to read our conversation about storytelling, shy kids who suddenly have a lot to say about rockpools, and why a good children's book is magic. 💫
