Thank you to the artists who exhibited their work and to everyone who submitted through the open call for 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙒𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮. To everyone who visited, thank you for coming. It was a joy to meet lots of new people, some familiar faces and have small conversations about the works in the show. The exhibition is now closed, but I’m looking forward to seeing many of you again soon at a Warbling show or another 🤍

Leg Room, 2026, Paper transfer, oil, coloured pencils, dammar varnish on wood panel, 13 x 18 x 2cm

“An urchin’s spines balance on the lipped edge of a yellow bowl, a scene that plagued dreams until worked out and expelled through collage and layers of oil glazing. The spines were my right leg, which appeared permanently straight one night and never bent again.“

Waters is always unearthing. Her concern is for fragility, compiling a language for grief, making unrest tangible, to hold it in her hands and turn it over herself.
