I thought I’d end World Heritage Day with a couple of my posters of World Heritage Sites: Durham Cathedral, and The Forth Bridge.

Both are magnificent structures, and worthy of their heritage status.

Which is your favourite colour?

Pink, blue, green or red?
This was yesterday evening after a day of torrential rain.

A rainbow at the end of the day would’ve been nice, but the Millennium Bridge over the River Tyne was doing its very best to add a bit colour to a miserable day 🌈

No, this isn’t a giant suspended Easter egg, but the historic mooring buoy that’s situated on the banks of the river Forth at Bo’ness, Scotland.

The buoy is approximately 200 years old, and was designed by the famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It was retrieved from the harbour and restored a few years ago.

And this unusual installation is the subject of my newest poster print (second image). This, and many other poster prints can be found on my website and also on my Etsy shop (links in bio).

Happy Easter everyone! 🥚🐣

One of two of the Royal Navy’s largest vessels - HMS Queen Elizabeth docked at Rosyth on the river Forth earlier today. The aircraft carrier is there having a repair done to its propeller.

There were quite a lot of police cars in the area keeping an eye on things. So if for some reason you need a police response in this part of Fife while the carrier is here, don’t hold your breath.

Newark, Newark. So good they named it twice.

So who’s been watching the series on BBC2?
I wonder what the folk of Newark think about it? 🤔

BTW, my original poster of Newark on Trent is available from my Etsy shop (link in bio).

I’ve gone all primary colours with my newest poster design. This is my original design of a colourful Anstruther, Fife.

This new design now sits alongside my other designs of East Neuk locations, including St Monans, Pittenweem and Crail - all of which are available from my website, or from my Etsy shop (all links in bio).

Opened on this day in 1890 - it’s a happy birthday to the Forth Bridge, Scotland.

It’s amazing to think that this magnificent structure is 134 years old! And it’s as busy as ever, with approximately 200 trains crossing the bridge between Edinburgh and Fife every day.

Opened this day in 1982 - the Barbican Centre in central London.

I remember being at a party at the very top floors of one of the three towers (I think it was the Shakespeare Tower) and the views were amazing. Although some would say that the views from the Barbican are better than those towards it. And 42 years on, it’s still dividing opinion today.

But I definitely think it’s worthy of its own poster.

I made it through the snow in Fife to make it to the Riverside Museum’s Christmas market in Glasgow. I’m all set up near the front entrance.

I hope you can make it over. The snow is not too bad here in Glasgow.

There are loads of stalls, and things to see. Pop by and say hello.

May not make it to the Christmas market at Riverside Museum Glasgow this morning, as there’s a good 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground here in Dunfermline, and it’s still falling. ❄️☃️

I’ve got the snow socks on the car, but still don’t want to risk it.

I’ll do an update if things improve. 😀☹️

Money might be a bit tight at the moment, but the guys at Etsy are offering £5 off my orders of £25 or more this weekend. Use the code GET5

This means if you order from my Etsy shop this weekend, and your bill comes to at least £25, you’ll get a fiver off. Not bad eh? And for once, it doesn’t impact on what us Etsy sellers will take in earnings.
Use the code GET5

(Please don’t blame me if there are any problems during your transaction 😁)

My Etsy shop is: thePosterCreative.etsy.com
And you can find the link from my bio.

In my shop you’ll find a selection of high-quality travel and transport themed prints, mugs, postcards, cushions…

The promotion is live now, and runs until Sunday night/early Monday morning.

Day two of the September craft fair at Glasgow.

Come and see me at my stall of original poster prints, and check out the huge display of fire engines just outside the museum building.

Oh yeah, and look out for the Star Wars characters making their way through the museum. What’s not to like?

Forth Bridge (with crossing train), and Forth Road Bridge (second image) taken a couple of nights ago from Port Edgar Marina, South Queensferry.

It was a random shot, taken on an iPhone. And in reality, the actual scene was much darker than the image would have you believe. But I just love the orange reflections.
