A very enormous thank you to all the visitors we had over the last wet and windy week. You were all delightful and we were astounded at how many of you braved the changeable weather to come and see us. Plus a very pleasant surprise at how many of you showed your appreciation by purchasing our work. It means so much in these difficult times, our expectations were more than exceeded.

It's not just about making sales, it's about sharing a love of creativity and showing how we express this. So thank you.

I'm sure we will all continue to post the odd bit of progress here over the next year so rather than say goodbye for this year we will say "adiu".

Thank you!

We at Venue 11 are looking forward to seeing more of creations. Each year she brings something new to the venue to delight both us and our visitors.

It’s worth visiting early as her pieces are all unique and so often sell out before the end of the week.

From my own point of view, , she also makes a great cup of tea 🫖

The Vicarage Street Gallery - A Brief History

Several years ago a group of artists decided that using the newly refurbished Bennett Centre, the Church Hall for St Johns Church during the annual Frome Open Studios in July, now the Frome Open Art Trail, would be a great way to promote this new venue and to showcase a wide variety of work.

Over time the venue on Vicarage Street in Frome has improved with new facilities being installed all the time, it is now a vibrant Frome town centre venue with parking next door.

Over the years some of the artists have changed, but we are still proud to offer a wide variety of art to our visitors. In the unfortunate situation of the Covid 19 pandemic this year the Frome Festival and thus the Frome Open Art Trail has been postponed until 2021. In these difficult times we feel as artists that we can still create and still bring things of beauty into the lives of others. We hope that our fans, and hopefully new fans will support our participation in the virtual art trail being organised and will come and visit us once we can all go out again.

Stay safe everyone and keep well.
