Don't miss our final event of 2019 at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery will be a talk by Isobel Dennis of Collect. It's being held next Thursday 12 December, doors open at 7pm, there will be home made mince pies. Here's more information:
Collect: The International Art Fair for Modern Craft and Design with Fair Director, Isobel Dennis.
The Crafts Council founded Collect in 2004 with the aim to promote the very best galleries and artists in the field. It is the only gallery-presented art fair dedicated to modern craft and design. Collect 2020 relocates the Fair from the Saatchi Gallery to Somerset House.

Reminder that this Thursday we have a talk by Professor Ann Sumner will highlight the painting Tennis of 1928 by Vicente do Rego Monteiro (1899 — 1970), held in the collection of Swindon Art Gallery. She has used it for the front cover of her book, and was keen to visit the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, and talk to the Friends. There will also be many other artists who have depicted the game of tennis discussed. Should be a great evening.
Tickets £8/6 from Swindon MAG during opening hours or alternatively online at www.friendsofsmag.org
