Description:
Proverbs 31:30 KJV
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
As time passes, our understanding of beauty continues to evolve. Today, charm is often valued more than character. The Bible says, “Beauty is deceitful,” emphasizing that outward appearance or physical beauty does not truly represent one’s character or worth. Instead, the key to real beauty lies in possessing a "fear of the Lord.” This “fear” is not about being afraid; rather, it denotes a deep reverence and respect for oneself and, most importantly, for the Lord who owns all things.
A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. This reverence for God is the ultimate expression of true beauty and is deserving of admiration. Such a woman’s character and actions are grounded in faith and obedience to God. This is the kind of character that warrants recognition and praise.
The virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31 exemplifies this truth, as her greatest strength and beauty stem not from her outward appearance, but from her godly character and fear of the Lord. 🙏❤️
