Why are we running a crowdfunder for The Staffordshire Signal?
Because too many good stories in Staffordshire never get told. Not because they're not worth telling, but because they're not negative enough, not clickbait enough, to make anyone money.
We've watched local media get twisted and squeezed for profit for years, and we started the Signal in April 2025 because Staffordshire deserved better. Since then, we've grown into a trusted, IMPRESS regulated source, all without a penny of outside investment.
Now we want to do more. Expand Signal TV, launch a podcast, build an app, so people can watch, listen and read Staffordshire's stories wherever they are, instead of relying on social media to decide what they see and when.
We're not chasing investors who'd want us chasing profit instead. We're asking the people and businesses of Staffordshire directly, because this has always been about you.
