On Sunday 21st June our gates will open to the public for an epic day of family fun including our huge living history village and several arena displays plus stalls, food, children's amusements & activities. We even have a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight!

The Big Battle of Abbots Bromley returns to High Ash Farm on Sunday 21 June 2026, with living history displays, battle recreations, family activities and a confirmed Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast.

🎖️ MORE LIVING HISTORY COMING TO THE BIG BATTLE OF ABBOTS BROMLEY! 🎖️

We’re delighted to announce that the South Staffs Tommies will also be attending this year’s event!

Bringing the story of Britain’s fighting forces to life through immersive WW1 and WW2 (and beyond!) displays, the South Staffs Tommies recreate the atmosphere, equipment, and experiences of soldiers from two of the most defining conflicts of the 20th Century.

Visitors will be able to explore authentic displays, learn about the lives of wartime servicemen, and discover the uniforms, weapons, and equipment used during both World Wars. Their passion for living history and education makes them a fantastic addition to this year’s festival.

From medieval knights to Victorian redcoats and now the Tommies of the World Wars, this year’s Big Battle of Abbots Bromley is shaping up to be our most diverse and immersive living history event yet!

🔴 ANOTHER MAJOR GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT! 🔴

We are proud to announce that the 1879 Group will be appearing at this year’s Big Battle of Abbots Bromley!

Formed in 1998 at the Museum of the South Wales Borderers in Brecon, the 1879 Group is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. Inspired by a passion for the history of the conflict — and for many, the iconic 1963 film Zulu — the group has become one of the most respected Anglo-Zulu War living history organisations in the country.

Visitors can expect an immersive and visually striking display featuring authentic uniforms, weapons, equipment, and fascinating historical interpretation bringing the Victorian battlefield era vividly to life.

Beyond reenactment, the group also carries out important heritage work, including locating, restoring, and re-dedicating the graves of soldiers connected to the conflict whose memorials have been lost or fallen into disrepair. Members are also involved in historical research, genealogy, and projects in KwaZulu-Natal, helping to preserve the memory of soldiers on both sides of the Anglo-Zulu War.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet a passionate and knowledgeable group bringing one of history’s most dramatic conflicts to life at The Big Battle of Abbots Bromley.
