Today is National Biscuit Day and our volunteer tour guide Meg decided that was excuse enough to take a break between tours and indulge in a — yes, you’ve guessed it — Tunnock’s wafer biscuit! 🍫☕

She was joined by t’other Meg — the Theatre dog — who also thought it was the perfect excuse to indulge!!

Looking for something special for children and families over the next few weeks? We’ve got two fantastic events coming up at the Theatre!

🎶 First up is All-age Musical Seasons Safari on Wednesday 27 May at 2.30pm as part of the Swaledale Festival This playful concert explores the magic of the seasons through excerpts from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, alongside poetry by local people. Perfect for younger listeners and their grown-ups alike.

🐰 Then on Friday 6 June at 2pm, join Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggywinkle and friends for Hop, Scamper, Scurry - a delightful mix of storytelling, music and movement inspired by Beatrix Potter’s much-loved tales. Ideal for children aged 3–11 and their families.

The opening night of Little Shop of Horrors was a runaway success, with audiences loving the show’s infectious music, dark humour and spectacular staging.

Richmond Operatic Society has brought this cult classic to life with toe-tapping Motown, doo-wapp and rock ’n’ roll-inspired songs, larger-than-life characters and an unforgettable Audrey II at the centre of the action. Beneath the comedy and chaos lies a story of ambition, temptation and the cost of chasing dreams - making for a musical that is both hugely entertaining and surprisingly thought-provoking.

The show runs until Saturday, with performances at 7.30pm nightly plus two shows on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm.
