Of the many parishioners of St James the Less Rawtenstall who left their homes and families in the Rossendale Valley to fight for King and Country during World War One, 25 did not return.

This website is in honour of these 25 parishioners. It tells the stories of their lives and deaths, their town and the world they left behind, the war they fought in and the legacy they left for future generations.
