Thank you for all the messages of support over the past few days. They have meant so much to me and my family.

I was back in the gallery today, surrounded by beautiful colour and creativity.

I may only have a couple of weeks before I head off on maternity leave, but you'll find me here Wednesday–Saturday, 10am–4pm. I'm hoping to sneak in a few Mondays and Tuesdays before I disappear, and I'll keep you all updated.

As always, the website will continue to run as normal, with orders and deliveries going out regularly.

Apologies that the gallery has been closed over the last few days. Sadly, my dad passed away on Friday morning, and I am currently taking some time away to grieve with my family.

Many of you will know that it has been a difficult couple of years for us. After losing my mum last year, there is some comfort in knowing that they are now together and at peace.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and the many kind messages of support. They have meant a great deal.

I hope to reopen the gallery on Wednesday 24th and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Take a moment to soak up the tranquil turquoise and intricate details of these two new original paintings by seascape artist Joy Clifton.

Tidal Flow at Chapel Rock captures our spectacular Perranporth Beach as the sea sweeps around the iconic Chapel Rock. Summer vibes and a sense of freedom are abundant in this beautiful painting.

Newquay Harbour features one of Newquay's most picturesque locations. Capturing the spirit of this working harbour bathed in summer sunshine.

These two paintings are available to view in the Gallery from Wednesday. If you can't wait that long, they have just launched on the website where you can shop online and have some colourful, unique art delivered to your door.

The bears are ready for summer. We just need the sun to shine now! We are delighted to welcome the talented Emma Birts Ceramics to the Gallery. Emma's handcrafted ceramics ooze charm and character, and you can't help but smile and these gorgeous pieces.

Of land and sea, we are little in love with this display on our dresser. Earthy tones mixed with beautiful sea greens and blues.

Includes new pottery from local ceramicist Paul Welling, a collection of hand thrown beakers perfect for that lazy morning coffee by the sea. Paul has created a stunning tideline look with some beautifully glazed details.

Bold and beautiful original paintings from multi-award winning artist Diane Griffiths. We are delighted to display this collection of work from one of our local artists who is having a fantastic few years. It is such a joy to see that she is getting the recognition she thoroughly deserves!

Not only has Diane won the People's Choice Award, SAA Artists of the Year 2025, and the People's Choice Award, The British Art Prize 2024 but she recently won the Newquay BID Door Mural Trail 2026. With more shortlisting and nominations coming up, it is no wonder we want to shout from the rooftops how well one of our local artists is doing! 😊

I have some exciting personal news to share – our family is growing, and I am expecting my second child next month!

As many of you know, Colour & Space is a small independent gallery, and since welcoming my first child, the costs of running a physical gallery have changed significantly. After much consideration, from around 6th July I have decided to temporarily close the gallery space in Perranporth while I take maternity leave.

This isn't goodbye though. The gallery will continue to showcase creativity through a programme of pop-up exhibitions featuring our talented local artists, and the Colour & Space website will remain open as normal throughout my maternity leave, so you can continue to browse and purchase artwork online.

I would like to thank all of our customers, artists and supporters who have helped Colour & Space grow over the past few years. Your support means so much and has made this next chapter possible.

Take a step into nature with our new collection of original artworks by Caroline Eason. With a background in Floristry and Horticulture and a lifelong love of art she now creates these beautiful original watercolour and pressed flower landscape collages.

Caroline collects flowers and foliage from her garden and the surrounding area and then will press them for several weeks until they are ready to be used. Once the colour combinations are correct she can start to assemble the collage. The varying shapes of the leaves alllow her to use them in a very creative way. Combining the pressed flowers with subtle delicately painted areas creates a soft yet dynamic finished piece.
