If you missed our Pixie Day Exhibition come on down to Land of Canaan today. The pixies have stolen it and put it up in the Pixie Day Beer Tent! Come join the festivities as they wreak havoc this afternoon. There is merriment to be had from 1:30pm onwards!

We will also be open after this special 11am service for those that would like to continue on and see our VE80 display commemorating the end of the 2nd World War (WWll)

There will be a short service at the war memorial tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 11am to mark the anniversary of VE Day. A few of the poppies planted around the memorial are nearly ready to bloom and we are hoping at least one flower might emerge before the service.The church bells will also be rung at 5.30pm to mark the occasion.

CHANGE OF SPEAKER: It is with great regret that the speaker for the Society’s talk this coming Tuesday is unable to make it. John Hall however has valiantly stepped in to bring his scheduled talk earlier.

John will present his talk entitled "Otter Vale in The Tudor Times of the 1540s". This will give an insight into the historical context of his book, which covers the dissolution of the Ottery Collegiate Church in 1545, the Western Rising leading to the battle at Fenny Bridges in 1549 and the process of Protestant Reformation that swept in with the demise of Henry the VIII and arrival of Edward VI in the years around 1547.
