Jamal Sterrett
We're super excited for our next installment of TAG Talks! This month we'll be joined by street dancer and 'flexer' Jamal Sterrett. The winner of the 2014 Nottingham Young Creative of the Year award will be flexing his way through his talk as he discusses the history of the dance, how and why he started and what's in for the future. Thursday 22nd March, 7.30pm at Lee Rosy's Tea. More info here: goo.gl/miypTs
The Social Medium
In October 2017, The Anti Gallery was commissioned by Frequency Festival to explore the theme of disPLACEment through an art piece or installation. In response, the idea of 'The Social Medium' was born as an interactive exhibition inviting visitors to curate content for a physical recreation of popular social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The pop-up installation, which ran from 20th - 29th October inside of Lincoln's Waterside Shopping Centre allowed visitors to use pens, a Polaroid camera and a jar of cookies to physically mirror online practices as a way of exploring how we mediate between the digital and physical spheres. The Social Medium sought to investigate how the interactions of each realm differ and dictate how we share and respond to information.
Special thanks to Jennifer Birchall, Freelance Production Assistant for The Anti Gallery and the team at Threshold Studios who produced the festival, and all the volunteers who supported us throughout the week of the festival.

Walala x Play
We're in love with Walala x Play, a new interactive exhibition by the amazing Camille Walala at NOW Gallery. As well as in the gallery, Camilla's work can be found out on the streets, with one of her newer pieces covering the exterior of a building in Shoreditch! This exhibition is definitely worth a visit if you're in London! Great for both children and adults. #walalaxplay
