When the "universe" has a message for you, but you are too busy to have a lazy day....(you might miss the signs) 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️

For the first 10 years, I didn't even know what 'me-time' meant. Then, I slowly started to carve out some time for myself. Now, I feel I deserve it; I need it to survive both mentally and physically. 🙈 I’m so thankful I could stay at home for this long, although it has its downsides, and I’m looking forward to finding new doors that will lead to the next chapters of my life. Although I'm pretty sure (sadly) I won't "save the world" anytime soon 😅

What are your hopes/plans for this year?

I'll start 😅

✨ I want to be more sustained in praying for my family, especially for my children.

✨ I want to be more persistent in prioritizing our health and getting into some healthier eating habits 🙈

✨ And my hope is to finally find our dream home - we are sooo ready to stop the daily battle for the only bathroom with the six of us in the house. 😅

P. S. I don't do 'New Year Resolutions' , these are only my hopes ;)

When it’s time for Christmas baking with the kids, my stress levels are at their peak. I have three boys and a girl (the youngest one). I’ve been baking cakes with all of them for years and years, and in the beginning, it was mostly fun. 😅🥰
But today, I realized that my perimenopausal mild OCD just can't cope with the mess anymore. 🥴🙈

My loving 'mum-heart' keeps reminding me that this is quality time with my little ones; we are making memories and the mess doesn't matter. It’s all fine... as soon as they finish and I can start tidying up!

As they leave the huge mess behind (flour and sticky pastry EVERYWHERE), they have huge smiles on their faces that melt my heart. Now I can finally feel the peace and joy, knowing it was worth it. 🩷

I’ve finished cleaning the whole kitchen and now I need a little recovery time (so I'm officially hiding in my bedroom) before we start round #2.
