Tonight is tech rehearsal for Markham Players panto ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ ready for our first two performances this Saturday In Dunham village hall! Still some tickets left for these performances!

However I am pleased to say that next weeks run in East Markham village hall is now all but sold out! A few tickets left for Friday night.

These pantomimes are great fun, but they represent months of hard work all of which is voluntary. Any extra money raised, usually from the raffle is donated to worthy causes! So if you can come and support we’d love to see you there!

Some tickets will be available on the door this Saturday but please message and I’ll reserve you some just in case. Oh yes I will 😉🕺💃

Do come along and see and here what we are all about! You don't have to have an interest in horses, this is about how we all lived in the past!

We still have some room for the free Heritage week lecture on the history and dangers of the early side saddle. September 14th at 11am at the Gallery in Tuxford NG22 0LA. We are looking for a gallery assistant. Must be a happy person who likes a variety of jobs which include packing prints, answering the phone, talking to customers and using a vacuum cleaner and duster! An ability to do accounts would be a bonus! Hours can be flexible to fit in with schools. Pay not great but a happy small friendly firm where a sense of humour helps! Lovely Erica Munkawitz, author of Women, Horse Sports and Liberation, her recently published academic work on side saddle, visited the museum for the third time yesterday. She has very kindly allowed us to offer her book at a special rate, so if you are interested, please do message me. You can also meet her at the Side Saddle show this weekend where she will be signing copies of her book. Do go and say hello. She is over here from America so you won't get the chance to meet her very often.
