Today the winter solstice marks the exact moment the northern hemisphere is tilted the furthest away from the Sun. This is the shortest day of the year with the fewest hours of daylight. Introducing Tramway’s Vintage Coffee Van! 🚛
We’re excited to share the incredible transformation of our vintage coffee van, lovingly restored by our talented onsite workshop team. Built in 1979 by the Albany Motor Carriage Company, this gem arrived at Crich Tramway in September and, after a lot of hard work, started serving visitors in November at our Time and Light event! ☕
From a full interior refit 🛠to hand-painting the exterior 🎨 and installing catering equipment⚙️, the team has worked tirelessly to bring this classic van back to life. 🙌
But we need you! We’re looking for volunteers to help run the coffee van and be part of this unique project. Whether you love chatting with visitors, have catering experience, or just want to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
