Full Gallery Re-Hang this Week – Hundreds of Inspiring Original Paintings and Handmade Sculptures are Now on Display – Come and See for Yourselves!

We are fortunate enough to have a beautiful gallery space here in the historic market town of Market Harborough and we currently represent 42 talented artists who work in a huge variety of styles and mediums to suit all tastes. This week we have totally rehung the whole gallery, which is no mean feat!

We are open from 10am – 6pm this Friday and Saturday – Come and visit us and cheer up your day with a breadth of inspiring work that can help improve your home, workspace or even just your mood.

Allan lives near the English/Welsh border and has always been inspired by the landscape near him. In this brand new collection of gallery commissions Allan has been inspired by the rolling English floral fields that surround Herefordshire and Shropshire.

These gorgeous, original landscapes add both atmosphere and colour to any space or help you dream of that perfect British break away from it all.

Another Beautiful New Collection of Original Coastal Art by Alex Hill

Alex Hill’s second collection of his new coastal style has just arrived this week evoking memories of perfect days on the beach with our loved ones. Oil paintings by Alex Hill, an incredibly well-known British artist, are usually recognised by his moonlight coastal pieces with galleons and smugglers in the coves.

His fresh new style still has his artistic touch and blend of colours but highlights the beauty of the British coastline and spending time away from it all.

Welcoming Brand New Artist Helen Rondell to the Wingates Gallery Team

We were fortunate enough to meet Helen in London earlier this year and we fell in love with the form, texture and flow of her hand-coiled Raku fired ceramic sculptures.

The surfaces she produces are very tactile due to the low firing and she finds the crazing lines adding to the form. This is vital to Helen as she strives to create work that flows & curves leading the viewer around & through the piece which, being hand-coiled, often evolves during the building process, almost like she’s drawing with clay.

Wingates Gallery Framing – Framing Pictures, Sports Shirts and Memorabilia Since 1975

We are not limited to framing pictures, paintings, embroidery, cross stitch and can also apply our experience to medals, epaulets, badges from the armed forces and emergency services which is a great way of honouring those that served. We also frame sports memorabilia or other items significant to a person or family.

This visually captures an achievement, memory or moment in time as a permanent reminder. We love to hear the stories that accompany these items and this helps us identify exactly the right way to display them.

If you have medals in a draw, or something you want framed for someone else, then please bring them in for us to transform and preserve them.

An Inspiring New Collection by Katie Day

Inspired by both the beauty and drama of the land, sea and sky, Katie has developed a style that accentuates the naturally occurring colours and hues often missed by the casual observer. Working in oils she uses her mastery of the medium together with metallic blends and highlights on a textured surface.

Her talent then turns these ingredients into vibrant and energetic pieces with the combination of colour and texture providing a real sense of fluid movement.
