We are fortunate enough to have a beautiful, large gallery space here in the historic market town of Market Harborough and we currently represent 44 talented artists who work in a huge variety of styles and mediums to suit all tastes. This week we have totally rehung the whole gallery, which is no mean feat!

We have 6 new artists collections to show you all and 25% of our artists have delivered new artwork this month.

Come and visit us and cheer up your day with a breadth of inspiring work that can help improve your home, workspace or even just your mood.

An Inspiring New Collection by Katie Day

Inspired by both the beauty and drama of the sky, Katie has developed a style that accentuates the naturally occurring colours and hues often missed by the casual observer. Her artwork captures moments viewing nature away from the busyness of every day life appreciating the wider world and a little calm.

Her talent then turns these ingredients into vibrant and energetic pieces with the combination of colour and texture providing a real sense of fluid movement.

She has developed her style to work across even more sizes that will work for smaller and larger home starting at 25" square up to the large landscape size (see photo 1) which is 65" wide!

Today We Are Celebrating Our Talented Wood Sculptor - Angus Clyne

We are delighted to be Angus’ main art gallery and to hold such a vast and beautiful collection. Each piece of fallen wood is treated with real care and skill to make the most of the grain. His sculptures are either open forms with turned feet or delicately spherical with beautiful natural markings.

Each piece takes a phenomenal amount of time to form and perfect followed with 10 layers of Danish oil. His work continues to be incredibly popular so do come on in and view them for yourselves along with work by 43 other talented artists so we are well worth a visit…

Caroline’s positive paintings transport the viewer into the British countryside often on a quirky mode of transport. Her highly detailed original oil paintings are absolutely full of detail and personality. Whether vibrant or tranquil these beautiful original landscape paintings lift the mood of any space.

As a special addition to her collection Caroline is taking part in our charity skateboard deck auction helping to raise funds for youngsters to have more opportunity – there are two here at the gallery and on the link below and another one whizzing its way to us. Bidding is open!

We Are So Excited -Today Is The Launch Of The Skateboard Deck Auction 2026!!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our second skateboard deck auction – a project exclusive to Wingates Gallery – and your opportunity to be involved.

We have commissioned 51 skateboard decks from 18 of our wonderful artists which you can view below and in the gallery – they look sensational. This is a fundraising auction to provide art supplies to 17 local schools who have registered with this project to encourage more young people to participate in art.

Penny Jones has Delivered her New Hand Coiled Raku Ceramic Sculptures

Add some colour and from to your home with one of Penny’s positive sculptures. Each one is hand coiled creating a natural, tactile form. The Raku firing creates an aged authentic look in contrast to the glossy, coloured interior.

Diane Griffin has Delivered her New Porcelain Sculptures

Take a moment to look at the exquisite detail in these beautifully made ceramic sculptures. Based on visiting historic sites where we leave messages and experience the emotion and empathy of the site. The tear drops are thrown and decorated with metallic lustres on porcelain ‘messages’.

So much time, skill and thought goes into each one.
