"Clipstone at War" is an annual WW1 and WW2 weekend event held at the iconic Clipstone headstocks on the site of Britian's largest WW1 army training camp.

Look what we have just added to Clipstone Headstocks and Raleigh Museum collection.
NO...... not the aircraft but the aircraft washer on the trailer. Just in time for our war event this Sat and Sunday.

GERMAN AND SS WELCOME at Clipstone at War.
Having read about a trend that seems to be building that attempts to block some elements of history, I for one will welcome all AXIS groups. My Grandmother was Jewish but we are not going be change history by hiding it. So if you have an SS flag then feel free to fly it on 18-19th July. Please help spread the word.

Delighted with the latest addition to our military vehicle collection. It's a Karrier "runway caravan" which is a mobile air control tower. They were used to spot Vulcans coming in to land and notify the pilot if the landing gear was not down!
It just needs a few repairs as the middle pedal does not work at all and the clutch does not disconnect, still drives though!

Great news!!! We will be having an RAF flypast on both days this year of Clipstone at war, courtesy of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Don't know which aircraft yet but it will be spectacular. I bet they wont have trouble finding the headstocks at 62 m tall.

Pleased to report we will have another military vehicle joining our display at the museum. It's without doubt the worst we have ever taken on! In very poor condition but complete, an Austin Champ.
We intend to carry out some quick repairs and have it on show for the war event.

Huge thanks to Phil Clark for making this amazing replica of a 1887 Humber Penny Farthing (AKA Ordinary Cycle) as made in Beeston Notts. The main tube is a piece of steel pipe we cut out at Clipstone Colliery. Clipstone Headstocks and Raleigh Museum. We look forward to adding it to our Raleigh and Notts Industry display in the next week or so. Not sure I should try riding it but I may just have to!
