pdil.art/klint - Spirals, circles, botanical forms and radiant colour fill our new collection of 100 high-resolution works by Hilma af Klint. Created decades before abstraction became an accepted artistic language, these paintings explore growth, duality and the hidden structures of life.

Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) was a Swedish artist trained at Stockholm’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated in 1887 and first worked in a naturalistic tradition, producing portraits, landscapes and botanical studies before developing an extraordinary abstract language of her own.

In 1896 she helped form De Fem — “The Five” — a group whose spiritual interests became central to her work. Through symbols, geometry and organic forms, af Klint sought to express forces beyond ordinary sight: nature, consciousness and the relationship between the material and spiritual worlds.
