This major exhibition at The British Museum is inspired by Nero's persona as a performer and through the display of some 200 spectacular objects, we have created a series of sets that evoke a sense of tragic drama. The narrative journey that unfolds is within a framework of "centre stage" and "back....

For DD it is 3 years and 2 months since we started work on this quirky, unconventional interpretation project. We will display many of the extensive number of objects from Lady Maitland’s Angus Folk Collection. It tells stories of people, life, death, work, innovation, invention, food and fame in Angus. We will post again about this unique place.

Fun at the reservoir. Interactives and fun facts to help educate school groups on water usage and being water wise. Designed by DD with Eclectrick and RDesign.
Through lockdown we have completed an education centre at a reservoir in Kent. It is aimed at school groups and is packed with fun interactives. We worked in partnership with our old partner in crime Eclectrick (happy days at Holkham) and Rachael at R Design who created the engaging graphics. What we don’t know about the water cycle and domestic water usage!

The Hill House, in Helensburgh, Scotland, was Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s domestic masterpiece. It reopens to the general public today after a restoration project. A box structure, designed by architects Carmody Groarke, protects the building from the harsh Helensburgh weather, allowing it to dry out. Drinkall Dean have designed a new admissions area, retail offering, café, and interpretation within the box.
The retail wall consists of a bespoke slotted shelf system in washed oak and black Valchromat, with purple powder coated steel display boxes. This contemporary interior, influenced by Mackintosh, repositions the retail offer provided by the National Trust for Scotland. The café is a contemporary, industrial inspired space that includes colours and shapes drawn from Mackintosh’s work.
These new spaces provide a sense of quality and service, augmenting the visitor experience within the overall box project. The National Trust for Scotland Carmody Groarke Drinkall Dean Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society
