The Mobile Museum

The Mobile Museum The Mobile Museum is ready. Touring 12 housing estates across Barking and Dagenham. A multi-strand project by artist Verity-Jane Keefe A 2001 Ford Iveco Mobile Library has been converted into a Mobile Museum, a living archive for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Looking at methods of classification, through commonplace library, museum and archiving standards, a museum collection will be made. The collection will seek to offer a reimagined insight into contemporary Barking and Dagenham, and also its place within wider context of London and the Thames Gateway. For details of route, workshop timetable and hosted activity please check the project’s website.
