We’re greatly missing our volunteers while the museum is temporarily closed, and we hope everyone is safe and well! And we’re sorry that for those of you who use this page to keep up to date with new roles opening at the museum, we don’t have any opportunities for the moment, but we are exploring different avenues such as remote volunteering.

In the meantime, we hope that we’ll be able to use this page to stay in touch with everyone and keep you all engaged during this period.

So stay tuned! 😀

Thank you to Marsh Christian Trust for supporting our annual volunteer awards for another year, and congratulations to all our nominees and winners on the night.

A special thank you to everyone who supported us in making the event happen.

Extraordinary history
Vanessa Theed, our lovely Volunteer HR Manager, is leaving the museum on 19th July. As many of you have seen during interviews, training and at volunteer celebrations, Vanessa is truly committed to promoting the benefits of volunteering. She has been really supportive to me and many, many others, and her absence will be greatly felt. Vanessa, I will forever cherish what you have done for me, not only as a volunteer, but as an individual. Warmest congratulations on your new adventure beautiful!
Happy Easter Volunteers!
How refreshing to find a workplace clearly demonstrating inclusion and embracing the diversity of London, within its staff. There is a wonderful mix of genders, nationalities and ages amongst the volunteers and permanent staff. As a volunteer you are accepted as part of the family. Regardless of your role or position, everybody at the Museum of London work, and play, as a united front. With my dodgy back, I haven't been very active of late. But I find myself skipping with joy to work. It is with great honour and privilege that I volunteer at this wonderful institution!
