FLUX EXHIBITION Launches Mini-Masterpices for 2016 Edition

Now in it’s third edition, FLUX has established itself as the platform for contemporary artists to be discovered and to be part of an exceptional, unconventional art event. Hosted by the iconic Old Truman Brewery in East London and curated by Lisa G

ray founder of FLUX, this year’s much anticipated exhibition, represents a rare opportunity to gain access to a diverse group of 140 artists, on the path of being the big names of tomorrow. FLUX celebrates dynamic artists on the precipice of wider accolade and fame. Gray says “FLUX is the size of an art fair but is a carefully curated exhibition. It is a unique experience for both artists and art lovers, as we showcase a collection of the most talented painters and sculptors alongside site specific installation, performance and music. The support we have gathered from both the public and our artists since the first exhibition has cemented our place in the contemporary art world and allowed us to continue to be creative.”

FLUX private view is widely known as the event to be at, where the evening comes alive with musical guests and performance artists which compliment the work and brings a new experimental approach to the exhibition. Also launching exclusively at FLUX is a new and exciting concept Mini Masterpieces where artists have created a smaller original for sale at £200 or less. This is a great way for both new and seasoned collectors to purchase work from artists at a fraction of what their usual sized artwork is valued at. Key artists in FLUX 2016 include:

Gillian Hyland, an Irish photographer whose work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Harper’s Bazaar. Her film noir style images earned her two silver medals at the Prix de la Photographie Paris in 2014 since then her photographs have been exhibited around the world and have received numerous accolades including The Ward Thomas Photography Award in 2016. Darren Baker has become one of the UK’s most collectable artists since his remarkable portrait of the Queen was unveiled by Princess Anne at Westminster Abbey. Darren has painted Prime Ministers, Royalty and the sporting elite, and his celebrated works hang in collections from 10 Downing Street and the House of Lords to St James’s Palace. His oil paintings and charcoals have attracted critical and popular acclaim - the Sunday Times described his work as "thrilling" and "virtuosic" - and his paintings are increasingly sought after by art collectors from the UK, Europe, the USA and Japan. Tomas Harker is an emerging artist featured in collections worldwide and garnering increasing international interest. He has previously been included in an exhibition at the Tate Modern, London and has recently had two hugely successful solo shows. He has received recognition from esteemed critic the late Brian Sewell and gained glowing appraisals from many publications such as Vogue Magazine. Location:

A moment in the studio with INSIDES (2025) before it makes its way to FLUX. The exhibition is just around the corner, and I’m thrilled to share this canvas with you in London!

I will be exhibiting at the 13th edition of the FLUX Exhibition, taking place from September 3rd to 6th on Marylebone Road. Curated by Lisa Gray, FLUX is one of London’s most dynamic contemporary art events, bringing together 70 artists across painting, sculpture, and performance art.

New interview on The Flux Review: Wei Keong Tan

Designer and ceramic artist Wei Keong Tan explores the complex relationship between human control and the natural world. Born in Singapore and now based in Gloucestershire, Wei Keong’s practice brings together product design, architectural lighting and fine art ceramics to consider the tension between the cultivated and the untamed.

In the interview, he discusses his route into ceramics, the influence of nature, manga, science and climate culture, and his current project, Genetically Engineered Pots, a speculative body of work using ceramic forms to question our desire to reshape the natural world.

We are also delighted that Wei Keong Tan will be exhibiting with FLUX Exhibition this September at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation, Marylebone.

We are delighted to announce our interview with artist Abigail Humphries, now live on The FLUX Review.

Working with sand and acrylic, Abigail creates richly textured, large-scale paintings that sit between painting and sculpture. Her featureless figures emerge from tactile, geological surfaces, inviting reflection on memory, impermanence, emotional connection and the shared human need for compassion.

Rooted in a deeply physical and intuitive process, her work transforms feeling into form, creating quiet, meditative spaces where viewers are invited to pause, look closely and bring their own experiences to the image.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Dawn Fincham to FLUX Exhibition this September ✨

Working at the intersection of past and present, Dawn transforms vintage engravings, photography and digital elements into richly layered compositions that feel both nostalgic and strikingly contemporary. Sourced from old books, chance charity shop discoveries and extensive image archives, each piece begins as a collection of fragments before evolving into something entirely her own.

Printed onto canvas and reworked with acrylic, ink, glitter and mixed media, her process is intuitive and exploratory. Figures with an effortless, almost cinematic presence inhabit surreal, compact landscapes, inviting you to step into a world that feels familiar yet intriguingly altered.

Narrative sits at the heart of Dawn’s work. Built through layers, her compositions encourage you to look again and again, revealing new perspectives with each encounter. Recent pieces draw inspiration from portraiture and the Renaissance, even reimagining classical figures as unexpected guests and quiet observers within her own personal moments.

We can’t wait to see how her distinctive visual language unfolds within the FLUX space.

We’re delighted to welcome Liz Pangrazi to FLUX Exhibition London, taking place 3–6 September in Marylebone.

Working from her studio in Tunbridge Wells, Liz’s practice sits between realism and the contemporary, where figurative subjects intertwine with botanical forms. Her bold, instinct-led use of colour creates works that feel both emotionally direct and visually striking — inviting a deeper connection between identity, nature, and expression.

Alongside her participation in the exhibition, we’re pleased to feature Liz in a new interview on The Flux Review, where she shares insight into her intuitive process, her evolving Icons series, and the influence of landscape on her work.
