My heart aches for Nepal. 😢🇳🇵

While my eyes see the enduring beauty of our sacred spaces, my heart carries the weight of the devastating flash floods. This tragedy has taken precious lives, destroyed homes, and left entire communities facing unimaginable, heavy loss. There are truly no words enough to express the profound sorrow I feel for everyone affected.

I send my deepest love and continuous prayers to every family grieving a loved one, every person standing before the ruins of what they built, and every soul waiting anxiously in the silence for news. I hold space for your pain.

Yet, even in the darkest waters, the spirit of Nepal cannot be washed away. To the brave rescue teams, local volunteers, and frontline heroes risking their lives in the chaos—I stand in awe of your courage.

We may be bruised, but we are never broken. As a community, we will lean on one another. Hands will reach across any distance, and together, block by block, heart to heart, we will rebuild.
Nepal, you are in my heart. 🕊️❤️

“They have the skill, the power, the craft, the creativity...”

A breathtaking moment from our collection, The Newars 1901, on the runway.

Every single thread of the gown you see here was meticulously spun by hand, hand-woven into organic bamboo fabric, and hand-block printed. It features thousands of recycled beads, entirely hand-embroidered and elaborated with upcycled tulle, before being hand-cut, hand-stitched, and hand-finished by our talented artisans.

Behind these slow-fashion masterpieces are the hands of incredibly resilient women in rural Nepalese villages. Though lacking formal education, their ancestral artistry holds immense, sacred power. Our vision has always been to use design as a bridge—connecting their breathtaking talents directly with the global stage. 🇳🇵

The British Fashion Council summer celebration was a powerful reminder of what our industry represents.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, shared that British fashion drives £67.5bn in GVA, with 1 in 5 jobs in London rooted in creativity. As BFC Chair David Pemsel noted: Where creativity leads, commerce follows.

To sustain this momentum, the next great milestone for our industry is scaling conscious innovation—putting safety, ethics, and circularity at the absolute heart of design.

It was wonderful meeting Mayor Sadiq Khan, having a warm chat with BFC CEO , and lovely connecting with Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries - Justine Simons OBE, and MP Uma Kumaran. I was deeply inspired by my conversation with London Climate Action Week powerhouse Malini Mehra on driving systemic change as we head towards .

Bringing this philosophy to life, I attended the evening in bespoke sustainable couture SS26 ‘Newars 1901’ handcrafted from apple 🍎 leather, upcycled tulle ♻️remnants, and a bamboo 🎋hand-weave by highly skilled Nepali 🇳🇵women weavers.

I paired it with the Vajra handBag - a wearable art of innovation bridging new material science (handcrafted from the world’s first patented mango leather agro-waste 🥭) with ancestral craftsmanship. Fuelled with the spiritual energy of the universe, every brass detail including the handle VAJRA itself is hand-carved by master brass smiths inheriting 1,000 years of ancestral art history. I feel extremely privileged to work with these masters, artisans, and weavers to bring fashion into its most complex yet simplest form of design—preserving our ancestral craft and heritage alive while nurturing our Mother Nature. 🌍

Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what fashion can achieve when creativity serves both people and the planet. 🙏
