Born in Worcester 1993. Currently living and working in Bristol.

“In my practice, I am continually drawn to the everyday. Whilst my relationship to this country is conflicted, this series became a love letter to England, embracing and celebrating the duality of the highs and lows of life in this country.

My use of oil paint is deliberately flat, stylistically somewhere between photographic realism and intentionally painterly brushstrokes. Every painting is a scene that I have observed and found some familiarity with, influenced by documentary photography and film. Public spaces are held in a moment of emptiness, pets watch for their owners, a hand hovers outstretched. The paintings wait. By evoking these slow, quiet moments of modern life, I invite the viewer to pause too. A moment of the silliness and loneliness of contemporary life becoming nostalgia”

Bianca will be debuting with us in Norwich on the 6th June.

Introducing

The oil paintings of Sébastien Nôtre (born in Paris in 1994 and based in Milan since 2019) feature silent figures, often accompanied by animals, staged in ambiguous, pastel-colored situations. Each of his paintings originates from collages created on the computer before being projected onto the canvas. This technique allows him to seamlessly merge historical references with intimate moments. Influenced by artists such as Balthus or Marie Laurencin, and by the erotic press of the 1970s, as well as war photography, he blends these various influences in his work to address themes such as desire, isolation, and mental health.

Showing soon as Moosey.

Paraskevi Frasiola is a Greek artist driven by a deep fascination with repetition, pattern, and the meditative qualities of the creative process. By embracing these qualities, Frasiola aims to offer the viewer a moment of respite and reflection, encouraging them to explore the intersections of the personal and the universal within contemporary art. Frasiola works across a variety of media, including painting, drawing, animation, and other forms. Intrigued by the ways digital tools and technologies can shape shared experiences, Frasiola often incorporates elements like emojis, 8-bit images, and memes into their work. These common and impersonal visual languages become a bridge between the personal and the universal, inviting the viewer to engage with the artwork on a deeper, more relatable level. Frasiola holds an MA in Painting from the School of Visual and Applied Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and an MFA from the Frank Mohr Institute, Groningen, Netherlands.

Join us this Thursday in Norwich for the opening of Paraskevi’s solo exhibition ‘Alone With Ones Thoughts’.

Sablo Mikawa
b. 1987. Saitama, Japan.

Sablo is a self taught artist, currently living and working in Tokyo, Japan. He has exhibited across Japan and created artwork for fashion brands, Dickies and Marmot x BEAMS.

Influenced by early-modern paintings, he is known for his style of dramatically depicting contemporary things, such as manga and movies. His works are inspired by Western paintings, movies, music, comics, etc, which Sablo admires, and incorporates into his works to express the things and emotions that come to mind in modern times.

Sablo’s ‘Reel to Reel’ opens this Thursday in our London gallery.

Damien Cifelli is a multidisciplinary artist & writer from Edinburgh, now based in London. His work explores a fictitious land named Tarogramma.

Referencing the scale and compositions of history paintings and historical sculpture, he has built a detailed culture with its own aesthetic, way of living, and understanding of the world; one that is at once alien, and eerily similar to our own. The work is a visual representation of this alternative society - documentary images of a new world.

Lo, the Prodigal Daughter has returned; what was dead is alive & what was lost is found. After a decade wandering strange lands - London and Stockholm - Amy Worrall (b. 1989) is back in the place of her birth. Like the father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son,
Norwich has welcomed her home with open arms, celebrating the ceramic artist’s return with her first solo UK exhibition.

But this is where the ‘New Testament’ similarities end, because
Worrall has not come to ask for forgiveness. To provoke and
delight, yes; to apologise or make amends, no.
In her vision of Norwich, serpents twist around the tower of City Hall. Sixteen almost-self-portraits open their mouths in expressions
of delight, of horror, of madness. Are the references to Rembrandt and his Prodigal Son, dotted through this exhibition, a tribute, a
parody or outright mockery? Perhaps all of the above. In Worrall’s work the self is fractured, and coming home offers no wholeness.

The Prodigal Daughter may reject the very idea of homecoming but - with its abundant colour and shimmering gloss - it echoes the unexpected joy of the parable. This is not a celebration of
return but a celebration of the impossibility of return. Losing one’s bearings has never seemed so tempting. Losing one’s mind has never been so much fun.
