ADMISSION FREE The National Portrait Gallery, London, houses the world's largest collection of personalities and faces, from the late Middle Ages to the present day. The Gallery offers a programme of monthly events that are either interpreted with British Sign Language or BSL-led with interpretation into English on the last Thursday of every month at 19.00 Events for families and young people with interpreted with BSL are also regularly programmed. On 8 January 2016, deaf and autistic students from south London exhibited their portraits created in response to the Gallery's current exhibition, Giacometti: Pure Presence. Pupils from Oak Lodge School for students with hearing, speech, language and communication needs, Wandsworth, and Drumbeat School and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Service, Brockley worked with artists Chloe Cooper and Jasleen Kaur in a series of workshops run in partnership with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
