We are no different from anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. Those personal losses have, however, inspired us to create an organisation to bring happiness to those less fortunate, to help extend the life of, and more profoundly, cure those in need. Our aim, from the outset, has been totally true to a firm belief that we have an obligation and responsibility in life to help and to give
back something to those who are in need. In our small way, we are creating a platform to enhance the profile of artists, from unknown to recognised, to exhibit with renowned artists and celebrities who are less known for their artistic abilities, whilst also raising both awareness and financial support for worldwide causes. We feel the creation and purchase of any work of art has a unique story behind it, perhaps even more so if the artwork has also helped fund a worthy cause close to a person’s heart. The Art of Giving holds events throughout each year to highlight charities, and, through art sales, donating a substantial proportion of the proceeds to these causes. The Art of Giving website also promotes and sells the work of both upcoming and renowned artists along with holding online auctions. Art of Giving also organise annual art competitions with the aim to encourage both established and aspiring artists to take part and be given the fantastic opportunity to exhibit their work alongside revered artists in renowned galleries; for our 2010 Art of Giving Open Art Competition, the finalists were given the chance to exhibit at the world renowned Saatchi Gallery. We received an overwhelming response to the competition, and the consistently high standard of the submissions made the judging process very challenging. However, following much deliberation, the panel achieved the final shortlist of 30 artists who all exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery and for more information on the winners, click here. Of the range of charities and organisations we have been privileged enough to work with, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of them for their involvement, and hope that we have gone a little way in helping to be a beacon for their respective causes, as well as raising funds for their invaluable ongoing work. To create Art of Giving and its associated projects has involved a great deal of passion and dedication and we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who has played a part in making both these and the Art of Giving a reality and we thank you so much for your continuing support.
