Leafing through the book “Great Women Artists” from 2019 by and stumbled on this image of Margaret Harrison’s Captain America from 1971 showing captain America with big breasts, a Stars and Stripes basque, and high heels. Harrison was so ahead of her time, mixing comic book culture with feminist ideas and critiques of machismo. She is still working in her 80s and recently she had a show at - has work on display at the - and will soon be part of a special show - a true radical!
