Our Story
Come visit the old grammar school in the beautiful town of Kingsbridge and see the marks left by hundreds of years of pupils. Explore our Victorian kitchen and scullery, find out about farming in the South Hams, and discover faces and places from the past with our photographic collection. We have plenty for the whole family to do, with quizzes, dressing up, craft activities and a duck hunt...
We are open Easter until the end of October, Monday-Saturday 10:30-5pm (4pm in October.) We have a new exhibition for 2018 all about Margaret Lorenz plus year 2 of our Cookworthy Exhibition in partnership with ‘The Box’ (formerly Plymouth Museum). Entry is only £3 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and FREE for Children (under 16’s).
Want to find out more about the past? We have a resource centre with local archives, newspapers, photographs and more. Available to researchers and anyone with an interest in local history. Open Monday-Thursday 10-12 (extended until 3pm on Wednesdays)
