Photograph of a find from The Victorian Mudlark’s archive. A stunning piece of old metalwork, recovered from deep within the black, stinking river mud during one of my mudlarking adventures.
Despite years beneath the mud, the intricate embossed detailing and decorative bands have survived remarkably well.
Another little piece of history brought back into the light. 🌊

Looking for a property or unit to rent - to hold finds all year round, for both myself and public viewing. Must be in Kent, not too big.
The Victorian Mudlark needs to be a place for all to view and enjoy.
Museum here we come.
Seen a few in Folkestone… not much luck yet.
