Great morning with Lauren from Suffolk Wildlife Trust at Harleston Library...
Rescued a poorly hedgehog in the garden, lots of bugs found and the Library Lodge is now well under construction.
Lauren is here till 3 o clock, plenty of time to join in.
Mervyn is here demonstrating the ancient craft of whittling.

There was a preview of the Open Arts exhibition in the carvery at the Swan Hotel yesterday. There are some fantastic pieces of work. Definitely worth a visit. Heritage Open Days is officially open

OPEN DAYS are fast approaching.
Saturday 13th Harleston kicks off with some great Town events, workshops and displays
HARLESTON LIBRARY has a "bug"tastic activity run by The Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
Drop in for some Habitat building, crafts and play 11:30 - 3pm - no need to book.
*** Still a few spaces left on the "Tracing the history of your home" run by The Norfolk Record Office at the library.

Hope you've all had a chance to check out Harleston's amazing Open day free activities.
Don't forget the county has lots on offer during the week and our Friends in Winfarthing are travelling back in time with an Anglo Saxon Village Saturday 20th Sept, just drop in for a visit.

Visit a mini Anglo-Saxon camp with experienced living historians to discover what life was like for ordinary people around the time the Winfarthing Woman was buried with her fine golden jewellery.

We are approaching the start of Heritage Open Days. There are lots of things planned for the first Saturday: market stall, events, activities, exhibitions, walks and trails.
