CHARMS OF THE LIFE by Gültekin Bilge has been donated to raise funds for the charity Art For Dog's Sake (see more information below).
CHARMS OF THE LIFE (2013) © Gültekin Bilge This small painting will be auctioned at Art for Dogs' Sake exhibition over the weekend of 8-10 May. In this small artwork I created a waterfall of human experience, swirling very fast and churning up all kinds of random activity and events, some delightful and some difficult or unpleasant. I wanted to symbolise the fluidity of a life that is constantly shifting and changing with complex hidden causal factors. The concealed facial expressions represent emotional responses of people caught in life’s current and carried along. They cannot control what will happen; often they cannot perceive the underlying cause, they can only do their best to respond to events. This work is my visualisation of a Turkish saying that life is unpredictable and brings many surprises.
Private view, Hadleigh Old Fire Station,
High Street, Hadleigh, Essex SS7 2PA with specially invited VIP guests Friday 8th at 7.30pm.
