Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition The Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition takes place at the Horniman Museum in April 2017 and is adjudicated by Sophie Yates and Robin Bigwood.

Broadwood Harpsichord Competition Sunday 15th November 2015 http://broadwoodharpsichordcompetition.com/ The 1st Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition is open to students studying at Conservatoire level. It is an international competition held in London at the Horniman Museum and Gardens. Competitors will perform on the Museum’s 1772 Kirckman harpsichord on Sunday 15th November 2015. Competitors aged 18 - 35 may apply via the web site. We are grateful to John Broadwood & Sons for their continued support of the competition.

Jamaica has a rich musical heritage spanning a diversity of styles and forms. Throughout the island’s modern history, music has played a significant role in the social, political and economic life of its people.

Harpsichord Masterclass with Masumi Yamamoto

South London-based harpsichordist Masumi Yamamoto leads a masterclass for harpsichordists and advanced-level pianists at St Barnabas Parish Hall in Dulwich Village. Masumi recently adjudicated the Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition.

The instrument used is a Gotto double manual harpsichord. There is space for 6 participants in the masterclass. There will be a recital by all masterclass participants at 3pm.

Participant: £12.50, audience tickets free.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2nd Broadwood Horniman Harpsichord Competition is Dušan Toroman. The competition is supported through the generosity of John Broadwood & Sons Ltd. Sam Laurence from John Broadwood & Sons Ltd. presents the 1st prize to Dusan Toroman. Dušan Toroman received a graduate degree in piano performance in his native Serbia.
